Blueberries!

We have already been strawberry and raspberry picking out here in the northwest, but Bob really loves blueberries, and has been hoping to go and pick some since we went with the Schaffers in Portland. So, yesterday Bob and I went blueberry picking in Bellevue. Here's Bob picking blueberries:


The berries were sporadically distributed (ie: one bush would have a ton, and then the next four would have no ripe berries), but even so we were able to pick 5 lbs of berries


When we got home, we set about washing and sorting our berry harvest, and then turning it into desserts (and breakfast this morning): We made blueberry crumb bars (left; 4c blueberries), blueberry pie (right; 5c blueberries) and blueberry muffins (front; 1c blueberries). We still got quite a few left, and may be either making jam or freezing the berries for enjoying later...
