Finally Paying it Forward.

Back in May (which was, regrettably, about the last time we UPDATED the blog), I entered into a contest held by our friends Katy & Ian. We met them in NC, and ended up moving to Seattle about 6 months after they moved out here. Now they've moved back to NC, but we still keep in touch.

Anyways, back to the "contest". All you had to do to enter was leave a comment on the blog, and then from those comments, three names would be picked out of a hat, and each person would receive a prize. Sounds easy, right? The catch is that you have to then "pay it forward" and, should your name be picked, you have to do the same for others.

So, our name got picked, and one dreary Seattle evening I returned home to find a package from Amazon. Neither Bob nor I had ordered anything from Amazon, but I took it inside and opened it anyway. Inside was our prize:

Now, While Bob and I were in NC, we only went to Magnolia Grill once, and that was to celebrate with a few close friends and my mom after my defense. The food there was AMAZING. We're really excited to try the recipes in here...they all sound delicious. Plus there is a recipe for hushpuppies, which is something you really can't find in Seattle.
